A man has accused legal cannabis farm of fraud.

Samuel L. Patterson filed his complaint in federal court against So-Thorn Therapeutic Health Cannabinoids LLC, SoThorn LLC and Alva Lemon.

In the complaint, Patterson claims he was promised an equity contribution and membership interest in So-Thorn Therapeutic after he funded the company's acquisition of a property intended for legal cannabis farming operations. He claims to have transferred $719,702.15 to So-Thorn Therapeutic for this purpose.

However, Patterson alleges his membership interests never were issued and his money was not repaid. Instead, he accuses Lemon of creating a scheme to avoid obligations by establishing ST as a successor entity to So-Thorn Therapeutic and transferring the acquired property (the company's only asset) to ST without any payment or consideration in return.

Patterson is seeking compensatory damages.
