Jeffery Fuller Jr. has filed a lawsuit against GBI LA-DM, LLC, Holmes European Motors, LLC, and Holmes Auto Group, LLC in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. The case ID is 5:24-cv-00549-TAD-KDM and it was filed on April 25, 2024. The plaintiff alleges employment discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Fuller claims that he faced racial and gender discrimination while working as a technician at these companies from February 2021 to February 2022. He alleges that his supervisors Mary Katherine Braud and Jordan Hogsett subjected him to slurs related to his race and sexuality. Fuller also alleges pay disparity compared to his white counterparts.
The plaintiff reported these incidents to his service manager Ross Bird who failed to take action. Following an internal investigation by Human Resources, Braud received a written reprimand but the harassment allegedly continued. Fuller was given the option to continue working at Jaguar or transfer to Mercedes Benz of Shreveport.
Fuller is seeking declaratory, injunctive, and monetary relief for the alleged discrimination he faced during his employment with these companies.
